Why do Lead Generation on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is a professional social network with over 20 million members in France. LinkedIn is the source of 80% of B2B leads created on social networks. Benoit, founder of Scalezia, gives you some tips on how to generate leads and contacts on LinkedIn.
How to generate leads on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn has tools for creating personalised lists of prospects directly on the site.
Indeed, LinkedIn’s search bar, in which it is possible to filter for companies, sectors, locations, etc., represents a first step in lead generation.
However, this tool remains imprecise. That is why LinkedIn has developed a more powerful and efficient paid platform to make a precise and optimised listing for your prospecting: Sales Navigator. By applying the filters of your choice, you can create a listing corresponding to your target persona, which makes automating your prospecting very simple.
The good news is that a one-month trial version is available for free! You will then have to pay a little more than 50 euros per month to benefit from the tool’s features.
There are 3 types of filters that can be applied when searching for profiles in Sales Navigator:
Rigid Filters | Soft Filters | Liquid Filters |
Job Title Geographic Area Relational level Company Profile Language Groups Sector | Hierarchical level Keywords Number of employees Year of experience Seniority | Functions and many other filters… |
How to get your leads’ email addresses?
Benoît gives you his best tips on how to get the email addresses of your prospects. A simple Google search could find some of these addresses, provided you use the search engine properly:
- Run a Boolean search
Ex : site:linked.com/in “@gmail.com” AND “jobTitle” AND “localisation”
- Retrieve the results
Copy and paste the results into a Google Sheet
Tips: Type “sheets.new” in your Google search bar to directly create a new Google Sheet.
- Extracting emails
Using the following formula:
=iferror(Regexextract(A1;”[A-z0-9._%+-]+@[A-z0-9.-]+.[A-z]{2,4}”);”NONE”)s
Alternatively, tools such as ColdCRM, Lusha or RocketReach use Web Scrapping to find the email address and phone number of the person you are looking for. Be careful: remember to validate the email addresses before using them!
Once you have an accurate email list, all you have to do is create an effective copywriting to optimise your contacts!
